Our humble beginnings at Bartendingschool.com date back to 1989… before the internet was really around.
At that time, nobody really knew of the company as a “.com” but instead as “New England Bartending Schools,” founded by Michael Perusse.
As you would expect, New England Bartending Schools operated schools in the North East – specifically Vermont and Massachusetts.
The schools turned out to be an immediate hit, graduating thousands of students who would go on to work at some of the top bars in the country. Here is a letter from the office of the dean at Harvard in 1998 thanking New England Bartending School for it’s services:
With the rise of the internet though, it was time to take New England Bartending School online. And why not do it with the best domain name around: Bartendingschool.com.

Since day one, we’ve focused our efforts on serving the bartending, mixology, and hospitality community.
There are simply too many bartending schools with either false promises… outrageous prices… or unworthy certifications.
Not ours. Never.
Our goal is to provide students with a quality, hassle-free, bartending education. We strongly believe that those who attend the right school will be paved a clear path to success as a bartender.
